ABOUT US
We offer one treatment only: cryotherapy
(also known as cryosurgery).
Cryotherapy involves the application of liquid nitrogen to a skin lesion with a specilised spray gun.
This is available to patients with warts, verrucae, skin tags and seborrhoeic keratoses.
Cryotherapy is the same treatment that used to be offered at a ‘Wart clinic’ at your NHS GP practice. The majority of NHS GP Practices are no longer able to offer this treatment due to pressure on GP services and withdrawal of funding as these lesions are considered benign (harmless).
For many people, these lesions can be a nuisance, look unsightly and cause discomfort. The NHS provides no option for these patients, other than over the counter treatments or cryotherapy in the private sector.
For some people, wart paints and freezing kits are not effective enough. Cryotherapy is often successful. However, private treatment from a Consultant Dermatologist can be an expensive and unrealistic option for many people.
The Cryo Doctor aims to bring you cryotherapy at an affordable price, by an experienced local doctor.
